Our company encourages the creativity of our people, using their talents to develop innovative products that change the world.

Kim Alards

Kim Alards
3D print process developer

Kim Alards has a PhD in Physics and several years of R&D experience in inkjet printing.

“Imagine you can print any complex multi-material object at any given time, that is what multi-material jetting can do! I am part of the Lake3D R&D team and together we develop this ground-breaking technology and strive for high quality applications. I love to create overview in a complex technological environment and I enjoy presenting our innovative technology to the outside world. The dynamics, diversity, complex technological challenges and most of all the amazing team make working at Lake3D a real joy!”

Aimeric Clément

Aimeric Clément
Junior software engineer

Aimeric Clément is a software engineer who focuses on algorithms that bring known 2D image-processing methods to the 3D space.

“I’ve always enjoyed programming things that can be touched or felt; things that are visual and relevant to humanity. I used to work on mechanical simulations where the interplay of push and pull forces forms an elegant geometry and I loved it. Today I am even more fulfilled by tackling the challenges of composite 3D printing together with the rest of the team.”

Petra Doelman

Petra Doelman
Founder & COO

Petra Doelman has an MBA and brings in many years of start-up experience in different industries, focussing on strategy and fund raising.

“I have been involved in many start-ups and immediately recognized the disruptive potential of multimaterial jetting in the dental market. My ambition is to bring new and sustainable products to market that improve the life of people. It is highly motivating to be part of a great team and jointly turn ideas into reality!”

Rachelle Groot

Rachelle Groot
Metrology engineer

Rachelle Groot has a background in physics and focuses on the workflow as well as the print process.

“My adventure at Lake3D started with a part-time student job, and it quickly felt like I joined a family. This is one of the reasons why I decided to stay. The combination of creativity and technology is what keeps my job interesting and I am excited to be part of the next step in multi-material jetting!”

Felicia Ionascu

Felicia Ionascu
Workflow architect

Felicia Ionascu is a seasoned software architect with expertise in application and workflow software for 2D and 3D inkjet printers.

“My job within Lake3D is to create the software workflow for multimaterial printing, fit to the application. That’s a challenging but highly motivating task! My passion for innovation is completely fulfilled with Lake3D, as there are always interesting problems to be solved. But with the right team, nothing is impossible!”

Filip Kafka

Filip Kafka
Software engineer

Filip Kafka is a software engineer with electrical engineering background. He specializes in fast algorithms and work in low-level programming languages, which are necessary when working with 3D objects.

“I always liked computers, mathematics and physics. In Lake3D, these disciplines merge into one, creating a project that has the potential to move the market. In Lake3D, space is given to ideas and thoughts which creates a unique work place for people not looking for a job, but a hobby.”

Jessica Pepe

Jessica Pepe
3D print process developer

Jessica Pepe is a material scientists with a focus on material process interaction.

“I have always been passionate about materials and driven by passion for innovation. 3D printing is the technological progress the world is waiting for and multi-material jetting is the perfect means to it. My aspiration is to follow unexplored and complex paths and make possible what is thought to be impossible!”

Keita Špēla

Keita Špēla
Characterization researcher

Keita Špēla is a mechanical engineer working on the mechanical characterization of the products being developed at Lake3D.

“Multi-material jetting will break the boundaries of product design and manufacturing, and I am thrilled to be creating the future of multi-material products with the Lake3D team. As a characterization researcher my goaI is to make use of the possibilities this innovative printing technique brings and to ensure the product performance meets the intention.”

Joost Anne Veerman

Joost Anne Veerman
Founder & CTO

Joost Anne Veerman has a PhD in Physics and is an expert in inkjet process development and printers for industrial applications.

“I believe that multi-material jetting can do miracles for many applications! I think that our ability of converting application demands into a customised process really makes us unique. I know that designing a reliable material jetting printer is quite challenging already, but it’s even more difficult to actually design the right one. I’m very proud of our wonderful team and my ambition is to build the best material jetting technology company in the world.”

Klaas Wiertzema

Klaas Wiertzema
Founder & CEO

Klaas Wiertzema is a psychologist with a strong entrepreneurial background in software development and complex sales processes.

“I was soon convinced of the potential of material jetting in the 3D world. That is why I decided along with Petra and Joost Anne to embark on this inspiring adventure. It’s great to see my beliefs come true.
My ambition is to continue building a team based on trust rather than control mechanisms, as I am convinced that this will stimulate people’s creativity to the max. I am focused on solid long-term relationships, both with my colleagues and with external parties, because I believe this is the best foundation for effective teamwork for now and the future.”

Ineke Wijnheijmer

Ineke Wijnheijmer
Senior 3D print process developer

Ineke Wijnheijmer has a PhD in Physics and is an expert in inkjet print process development.

“For many years, I have known the benefits of 2D inkjet printing. Since I have joined Lake3D a whole new world opens up by adding a third dimension. It adds a lot of possibilities, but also a lot of complexity. Actually, I like both. I am excited to further develop the 3D inkjet printing technology together with the rest of the team, enabling applications that will benefit society.”
